Associate Researcher
Work Location:Cambridge, MassachusettsSummary:Seeking a Contract Research Associate to support analytical research and development activities for pre-clinical and clinical gene editing programs. This lab-based role focuses on routine analytics for various nucleic acid modalities using advanced analytical and molecular biological techniques.Responsibilities:Conduct routine testing for purity, impurity, stability, and identity of mRNA and gRNA molecules, including analysis of capped species, poly A tail, and concentration.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process development, method development, characterization, comparability, manufacturing, and investigations.Utilize chromatographic and electrophoretic separation techniques, such as HPLC/UPLC-UV/FLD, for analytical assessments.Apply molecular biological methods, including ELISA and PCR, for sample analysis and data interpretation.Support the implementation and automation of sample preparation and data analysis workflows to enhance laboratory efficiency.Process, summarize, and interpret analytical data, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results.Engage in continuous learning to quickly adapt to new analytical methods and technologies relevant to gene editing programs.Interact and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.Qualifications:BS or MS in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related life sciences discipline.3+ years of relevant experience in laboratory settings, with at least 2 years of hands-on industry experience in analytical development or quality control.Proficiency with liquid chromatography, plate reader, capillary electrophoresis, UV/VIS/FL spectroscopy, ELISA, and PCR techniques.Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Experience with cell culture is desirable.Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and automation for analytical workflows is a plus.Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.Published Category:Analytical & Process Development
