If so, NVA Animal Medical Center of Plainfield wants to see your resume!Job Description:We are seeking flexible, well-rounded experienced (3+year) ER Veterinary Technicians lead for various shifts including (but not limited to) morning, afternoon, holiday, swing and weekend positions at our hospital.About Us:NVA Animal Medical Center of Plainfield provides urgent care for pets who are sick or injured when their primary care veterinarian is closed or overwhelmed. We service the entire Southwest suburbs of Chicago and our growing 19-doctor practice not only offers emergency services, but we also offer ER surgical services such as caesarians, ingested foreign body removal, GDV surgery, laceration repair and any other procedures that cannot wait until the primary care veterinarian's office is open and available. We utilize digital radiography, in-house laboratory and blood typing, isolation ward and two surgical suites. We had our GRAND OPENING: August 1st, 2023 that is equipped with 2 state of the art surgical suites, dual dental suites, 2 isolation wards for canines and a separated feline isolation ward, a large canine hospitalization ward and separated feline ward and 20 exam rooms! Rt 59, Plainfield ILResponsibilitiesProvide emergency care to animals, including administering CPR and IV insertion as needed.Perform animal catheterization and assist in critical care procedures within the ICU.Utilize veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal anatomy to assess and treat patients.Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments.Collaborate with veterinarians and other staff to ensure optimal patient care and recovery.Maintain accurate medical records and assist in laboratory procedures as required.National Veterinary Associates is a leading global pet care organization united in the love of animals and the people who love them.At NVA, we're on a mission to improve the lives of pets and the people who love them.
