Camp Laurel South, among the most prestigious, well-respected camps in the country, is seeking qualified Flag Football Counselors for the summer of 2026. We offer quality instruction designed to allow children to participate in activities they love, while also providing opportunities to explore new interests. Your primary goal is to create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters skill development, teamwork, and a love for the sport of flag football.Responsibilities:Lesson Planning and Instruction:Incorporate fundamental flag football techniques, rules, and strategies into lesson activities.Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment.Skill Development:Assess the skill levels of campers and provide individualized instruction to help them improve their flag football abilities.Focus on developing basic and advanced flag football skills, including throwing, catching, flag pulling, and route running.Gameplay and Strategy:Organize and oversee engaging flag football games and scrimmages.Teach campers the rules of the game and instill an understanding of flag football strategy and plays.Safety and Equipment Management:Ensure a safe and organized flag football environment.Monitor the use and condition of flag football equipment, reporting any issues and ensuring proper storage.Teamwork and Sportsmanship:Promote teamwork and sportsmanship among campers through collaborative drills, scrimmages, and friendly competitions.Encourage a positive and supportive atmosphere where campers respect each other and their coaches.Adaptability:Be flexible and adaptable to accommodate campers with varying skill levels and learning styles.Adjust lesson plans as needed based on camper feedback and progress.Qualifications:Previous coaching experience, especially in flag football, preferred.Knowledge of flag football fundamentals, rules, and strategies.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work with campers of different ages and skill levels.
