Senior Manager, FP&A and Investor Relations

Headquartered in Rosemont, Illinois, the company employs approximately 2,800 people worldwide.Position SummaryThe Senior Manager, FP&A and Investor Relations is a key contributor within the Corporate Finance organization, responsible for supporting the Vice President of Finance across a broad range of financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and external communication activities. Approximately 80% of this role focuses on FP&A responsibilities, with 20% dedicated to Investor Relations.This position plays a central role in developing financial insights for a publicly traded company generating $850 million to $1 billion in annual revenue, operating across 30+ divisions within both U.S. and international markets. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, executive level communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with broad organizational visibility.Responsibilities:Financial Planning & Analysis (80%)Budgeting, Forecasting & ConsolidationSupport the VP Finance in managing the annual budget, monthly forecasts, and long range planning processes.Consolidate divisional results and ensure alignment with corporate objectives, strategic initiatives, and performance expectations.Financial Reporting & AnalysisPrepare and analyze consolidated income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow results.Conduct monthly and quarterly variance analysis, highlighting key drivers, risks, and opportunities across the global business.Lead recurring analysis and presentation of Orders, Sales, and Backlog activity, including historical trends, forecasted projections, divisional dynamics, and implications for revenue timing and operational planning.Monitor order intake trends, backlog sufficiency, and conversion rates to support business visibility and strategic decision making.Management Reporting & Decision SupportDevelop executive ready reports, dashboards, presentations, and KPIs to support senior leadership reviews.Build and maintain financial models to support scenario analyses, capital allocation, investment decisions, and strategic initiatives.Partner with divisional finance leaders to ensure consistent reporting frameworks, data accuracy, and timely delivery of financial information.Support month end close through validation of divisional submissions, trend analysis, and preparation of management commentary.Process Improvement & SystemsIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance forecasting accuracy, reduce manual reporting, and increase analytical rigor.Recommend and support enhancements to planning systems, models, and standardized reporting tools.Investor Relations (20%)Earnings Preparation & External CommunicationsAssist in preparing quarterly earnings cycle materials, including the press release, investor presentation, talking points, supporting schedules, and Q&A preparation.Ensure all materials reflect accurate financial results, business performance, and consistent messaging aligned with regulatory standards and public disclosures.Competitive & Peer AnalysisPerform regular benchmarking of publicly traded peers, including financial results, valuation metrics, strategic announcements, and market commentary.Synthesize trends and competitive insights to support investor messaging, management strategy discussions, and external communications.Investor Materials & MessagingAssist in maintaining investor fact sheets, FAQs, and internal briefing materials used to prepare management for investor meetings or conferences.Support messaging consistency across all investor facing content.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or another relevant business field.Strong understanding of financial statements, including the relationship between P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.5–8 years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or related roles.Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, scenario analysis) and strong PowerPoint skills.Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and communication abilities.Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data into clear, executive level insights.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.Experience in a publicly traded company or supporting Investor Relations preferred.Experience working in a multi division, global organization preferred.Experience using AI tools to improve analytics and standardize processes preferred.Midera is an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
