We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our office operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to gain valuable experience in an office setting.
Duties:
- Assist with computerized filing and data entry.
- Perform administrative tasks, including answering phone calls and responding to emails in a professional and courteous manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service as a sales assistant, ensuring that clients have a positive experience.
- Maintain accurate and organized files, ensuring that all records are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Utilize proofreading skills to review documents and reports for errors and inaccuracies.
- Type reports and correspondence with speed and accuracy.
- Manage and create pricing for merchandise on sales floor.
- Manage and place merchandise orders.
Requirements:
- Proficiency with computerized systems and software applications, including Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Ability to accurately perform data entry tasks and maintain organized files.
- Strong proofreading skills, with the ability to review documents and reports for errors and inaccuracies.
- Ability to type reports and correspondence with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in administration or a related field is an asset.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
