Horseshoe Mountain Academy and Young Womens Empowerment Center is a Central Utah located, residential treatment program. We accept and inspire girls between the ages of 12-17 that can benefit from our boutique program. HMA / YWEC offers a positive and nurturing environment which includes psychological, educational, behavioral and emotional growth targeted to help your daughter have a bright future. For nearly two decades we have had a longevity of success with young women through our licensed therapists, supportive staff and caring families.

What we are looking for:
We are seeking qualified team players to fill our Mentor/Staff Member position. You will provide non-classroom instructions to clients on a one on one or group setting. You will oversee up to 12 clients on a daily basis. This includes but is not limited to; ensuring the safety of supervision of all clients, lead classes based on DBT and CBT therapy treatments, prepare meals and snacks for the clients, keep all clients on track with the daily schedule requirements, transport the clients to weekly activities and appointments, and provide emotional support for all clients to ensure client satisfaction. We are looking to fill the following shift's: We are currently looking for our swing shift which starts at 2PM-10PM. Any days Monday - Sunday.
Responsibilities:
Manage and educate clients in a non-classroom setting
Design and implement lesson plans at varying academic and behavioral levels
Establish therapeutic goals and milestones with clients
Document and communicate progress reports with management and therapist
Lead and document daily group group sessions with the clients
Provide constructive feedback for all clients
Prepare meals for clients
Oversee and ensure the client's daily completion of household chores
Distribute medications as needed
Use PCS training to ensure safety of all clients (you will be trained on-site)
Transport clients to appointments and activities
Attend monthly staff meetings and training classes
Reliable and committed employee
Willing to hold healthy boundaries with all female clients
Most importantly HAVE FUN!
Qualifications:
At least 21 years of age
Ability to receive a Food Handlers Permit
Ability to become CPR/First Aid certified
Have strong leadership qualities
Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check
Ability to follow instructions
Ability to accept feedback and constructive criticism
Have a positive and enthusiastic attitude
Ability to make quick, split second decisions
Ability to build a good rapport with clients and co-workers
Be able to set and maintain strong healthy boundaries with clients
Arrive for your shifts on time
Have reliable transportation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Be able to work as a team with other mentors and staff members
Previous experience is NOT required
