Our systems connect to the technology a firm already uses, carry routine work forward, assemble context and surface exceptions so people can apply their judgment where it matters. Because we operate what we build alongside client teams, live work continually sharpens the system and expands what it can carry.We are building a small, high-agency team around this model. The work crosses traditional boundaries: understanding the operation, designing the system, deploying it and staying accountable for how it performs in practice.About The RoleYou work at the boundary between a client’s operation and Decimal’s shared system. You embed alongside operations, compliance and business teams to understand how the work moves today, what outcome the firm needs and where software can take on more of the operation.Your responsibility is immediate and cumulative. You make the deployment work in production, stay close as real matters move through it and turn what we learn into stronger reusable capabilities for the next client.What You'll DoMap the operation. Understand the people, information, systems, rules, decisions, documents and exceptions behind the outcome.Build and deploy. Configure and extend Decimal’s software, integrate it with the firm’s stack and take the resulting workflow into production.Operate alongside the client. Watch live work move through the system, resolve exceptions and improve weak points with the people who know the operation best.Separate the layers. Keep client configuration clear while moving durable patterns and capabilities into the shared platform.Carry learning back. Turn real cases, failures and repeated decisions into better product, engineering and deployment practices.What You NeedExperience shipping software in ambiguous, high-stakes environments with users or clients close to the work.The ability to move between conversations with operators and compliance specialists, process design and production code.Strong judgment about which details are essential to the firm and which patterns should become reusable.Comfort owning the quality of a deployment after launch, including the exceptions that only appear in live use.Clear communication with technical and non-technical people.This is a contract role.
