National Consultant, Partnerships, Scotia iTRADE - Ontario Region
PurposeSupporting the Ontario Central West, Hamilton, Southwest Ontario, London, and Waterloo regions, this role contributes to the overall success of the Sales & Partnerships team in Canada. The incumbent ensures all activities are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures, and supports the execution and triaging of targeted client offers with partners, expanding Scotia iTRADE's sales reach through various distribution channels.AccountabilitiesChampion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.Understand and apply the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions.Pursue effective and efficient operations while ensuring adherence to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk controls.Champion and contribute to a high-performance and inclusive environment.Building Strategic RelationshipsSupport the sales process by cultivating relationships with frontline sales representatives and leaders from Scotiabank and Wealth Management business lines.Contact targeted Scotia iTRADE clients or prospects to introduce banking or investment solutions and deepen client relationships.Manage two-way referral opportunities and triage clients in collaboration with the iTRADE Product Strategy, Wealth Analytics, and Wealth Marketing teams.Support partnership initiatives to develop new business opportunities on growth client segments and accelerate Total Wealth delivery while driving higher NPS.Undertake and deliver direct sales initiatives targeting internal and/or external channels to create broader awareness of Scotia iTRADE.Communication (Self-Directed Investing Subject Matter Expert)Drive brand awareness through client education and support initiatives both in-person and virtually.Develop and maintain awareness of competitors' products, services, and marketing initiatives, and articulate how Scotia iTRADE provides superior value.Create and deliver tailored training resources and guides to support evolving partner and client inquiries.Leverage technology to interact with internal partners and clients, promoting and advocating for Scotia iTRADE.Support the planning and execution of key partnership initiatives to strengthen partner engagement and increase business growth.Take ownership of a Personal Development Plan and work with manager to develop required skills, behaviours, and competencies.Contribute to effective team morale and employee relations through positive interaction with the Sales & Partnerships team and management.Participate and support change initiatives with the team while learning and embracing new procedures, technologies, and processes.Dimensions – Sales Goals (metrics vary by geography)New Funded AccountsAssets under Administration (AUA)RevenueEngagementClient AcquisitionOnboarding High Net Worth and Active Trading RelationshipsAchieve sales growth targets for Scotia iTRADE products throughout internal and/or external distribution channels.Operate using influence as well as direct authority.Receive coaching from the Senior Manager, Sales & Partnerships, and guidance from the Director.Education / ExperienceUniversity degree or equivalent work experience.Thorough understanding of Scotia iTRADE products, process, policy, and services.Familiarity with Wealth Management and Banking industry competitor offerings.Understanding of branch and wealth management partner processes.Minimum of 5 years industry experience in a sales, relationship, or account management role.Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.Strong negotiation and influencing skills.Extremely proactive, able to work independently or in a team, and demonstrates perseverance.Completion of the Canadian Securities Course preferred.Preferred bilingualism (French and English).Experience with standard Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint) and Salesforce CRM.LocationCanada: Ontario – HamiltonCanada: Ontario – London (ON)Canada: Ontario – WaterlooAt Scotiabank, we value the unique skills and experiences each individual brings to the Bank, and are committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive and accessible environment for everyone.
