This position will also support other Gas Operations teams in various SCADA-related projects.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport and maintain SCADA applications, servers, databases, and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to SCADA applications, communications, and field devices.Maintain and troubleshoot SCADA communication networks, including radio, cellular, fiber, and leased-line systems.Configure, deploy, and support RTUs, PLCs, flow computers, and associated instrumentation at gate stations, regulator stations, and distribution facilities.Coordinate with field operations and engineering teams to commission new sites and modify existing installations.Perform SCADA system tasks and activities including patching, updating, implementation, testing and operationDevelop, maintain, and submit procedures and documentations related to SCADA team activitiesSupport Gas Control and Gas Operations departments with the use of the SCADA systemsEnsure compliance with regulatory standards associated with PHMSA and Department of Transportation requirementsAssist in ongoing process improvement, including continued alignment with compliance related initiativesCollaborate with IT, operations, engineering, and external vendors to resolve issues and implement improvementsAssist Spire IT in monitoring and troubleshooting activities related to SCADA server and workstation hardware, performance, network infrastructure and securityProvide technical support, guidance, and training to operations and field personnel as neededAll other duties as assignedEssential CharacteristicsAbility to demonstrate the core and job category competencies: customer-focused, results-driven, teamwork, communications, adaptability, initiative, problem solving and qualityAbility to lead by example in support of the Company's essential characteristics and values: strong ethics and integrity, dedication to a safe work environment, commitment to a diverse workforce that recognizes and respects every individual's unique skills and perspectivesAbility to adapt to a fast-moving and changing cultureStrong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and establish rapport with a diverse array of peopleSupervisory Responsibilities NoneRequired Education (certifications, licenses) Bachelor's degree in a computer or engineering technical field or equivalent experience may be consideredRequired knowledge, skill and abilities3 years of experience working with SCADA, OT, or other control systemsExperience with SCADA/OT platforms such as Wonderware, Geo SCADA, or similar systems preferredHands-on experience with SCADA platforms, RTUs/PLCs, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, BSAP, OPC) preferredWorking knowledge of computer coding or programming language applications (e.g., Visual Basic, python, ladder logic)Working knowledge of current OT networking concepts and industrial communications (e.g., radio, cellular)Basic experience with server and workstation networking and application administrationStrong technical writing and project management skillsStrong skills in troubleshooting complex system and field device issuesPhysical demands, environment and scheduleNormal Work Environment - Work is normally performed in a shared office environment and occasional field environment as neededTypically, Monday through Friday with ability to respond to after-hours emergencies and participate in on-call supportOccasional travel, up to 10%Posting RequirementsWe accept online applications through our career site at jobs.spireenergy.comDisclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of the level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
