Assists Radiologists with inpatient and outpatient consultations and minimally invasive imaging-based procedures. Coordinates with multiple departments to ensure timely performance of procedures and follows up on incomplete or incorrect exams. Provides necessary education to patients, family, and medical staff about exams and procedures, addressing patient needs and anxieties. Assists Radiologists in providing timely results to ancillary departments and physician offices, facilitating physician-to-physician communication. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge and skill with sterile technique. Knowledge of interventional procedures. Demonstrates calm, professional, and effective listening and speaking skills, and applies nonverbal communication techniques as appropriate during all communication. Proficiency in multi-tasking by monitoring worklists, handling multiple phone lines. Demonstrates a willingness to learn/adapt to new technologies and protocols and help develop the knowledge and competency of coworkers and Radiology team members. Education: • Associate (Preferred) • Bachelor's (Preferred) • High School Grad or Equiv (Required) Field of Study: • in Radiologic Science Work Experience: • 3+ experience assisting with image-based procedures. (Preferred) Additional Information: • Current valid license as a General Radiographer or Sonographer Upon Hire Required • Advanced modality certification (CT, MRI, NM, MG) Upon Hire Preferred Licenses and Certifications: • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) (Required) AND • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) (Required) AND •Registered Technologist – Radiography (RT(R) (ARRT)) (Required) OR • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) (Required) OR • Registered Technologist - Sonography (RT(S) (ARRT)) (Required) Physical Requirements: (Please click the link below to view work requirements) Physical Requirements - Pay Range: $26.08 - $48.50 This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
