We want you to view your time at Westfall as an investment to your future.Hours: 7:00am-3:30pmWe are currently seeking Assembler/Machine Operator, with the below qualifications:Professional AttributesAssembly operator uses hand tools to combine components to build electro-mechanical devices. They follow specific instructions and guidelines to ensure the assembled products meet the required quality standards.Desired Skills and ExperienceAbility to follow directions accurately and work independently with minimal supervisionComfortable working in a group environment and as a team playerMaintain a clean and organized work areaAdhere to company safety requirements and protocols to maintain a safe working environmentUse personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and follow all safety guidelinesCommunicate well to others and work within a team environmentAssemble electro-mechanical devicesAssemble components or products according to detailed procedures and technical specificationsProficiency in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, tweezers), small powered equipment (electrical screwdrivers), and fixtures/jigs to perform assembly tasksWork efficiently with small components, ensuring precision and accuracy during assemblyInspect assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards and specificationsIdentify and report defects in components or assemblies to Lead Operator, Supervisors, Quality personnel, or EngineeringAccurately complete documentation related to assembly work and product inspectionSkill requirementsSkilled in using hand tools, small powered equipment, and fixtures/jigsStrong ability to work with small components and attention to detailCapable to inspect workmanship and identify defects effectivelyKnowledge of soldering techniques (IPC J-STD-OO1 certification is a plus)Willingness and capability to obtain soldering skills and certification if requiredAbility to distinguish between different colors as required for assembly and inspection tasksMinimum Requirements and QualificationsHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent, or previously demonstrated experiencePrevious experience in assembly or manufacturing is preferred but not requiredEffective verbal and written communicationWork in a team environmentEssential Functions and Physical DemandsAbility to continuously grasp and manipulate small plastic parts and place in machinesFrequently sit, stand and walkOccasional lifting up to 50lbs and carrying up to 25lbsOccasional pushing, pulling, twisting, balancing and stoppingContinuously perform visual inspections on partsMust be capable of working in a cleanroom environment for extended periods of time, following all cleanroom protocol while wearing ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) accessoriesWork EnvironmentThe work environment is at a workstation in a manufacturing facility with low to moderate noise level.
