Role summary:Upgrade and integrate third-party Python packages, resolving packaging, compatibility, build, and automated-test failures.Key responsibilities:Upgrade Python packages across supported runtime versions.Resolve dependency, API, import, packaging, and test failures.Update package metadata and internal build configuration.Reconcile local patches and diagnose CI/pre submit failures.Validate upgrades and maintain technical documentation.Required skills:Strong Python development and debuggingpip/PyPI, wheels, virtual environments, and Python packagingpytest or equivalent testing frameworksDependency-resolution and version-compatibility experienceGit, Linux, scripting, CI/CD, and log analysisExperience maintaining or integrating open-source packagesPreferred: setup tools, Poetry, native/C-extension builds, Bazel, Copy bara, monorepos, security remediation.
