MRI Tech Location: Washington, DC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,174 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: Technician Specialty: MRI Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-hour night shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Two years of acute care experience required License: Current ARRT (MR) required Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required Must-Have: High School Graduate; Diploma from a certified school of Radiology required; Experience as an MRI Lead preferred; BS or MS in healthcare preferred; Must live 50 miles away Description: The MRI Technologist reports to the designated leader within the Imaging Department. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, you will provide clinical services according to MRI practice standards and act as a resource to MRI students and other technologists while ensuring optimal department functions. You will administer sound patient care practices according to department and hospital policies and procedures while ensuring patient safety. Your ability to demonstrate magnetic safety for patients, staff, and self, as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines, is of vital importance. Maintaining equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and team members is required.
