You will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of food service for our residents. With competitive pay at $21 per hour and a variety of shifts available, including part-time and full-time positions, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career with a reputable healthcare organization.Part-time opening is 12p-8p shift. Schedule is week 1: Monday & Saturday; week 2: Sunday & Friday.Full-time opening on 6a-2p and 12p-8p with an every other weekend rotation.Responsibilities:Prepare food to ensure quality food service is provided at all times under the direction of our Director of Dining ServicesFollow therapeutic diets ordered by physiciansEnsure proper serving temperature of foodMaintain visual appeal of foodMonitor daily nourishments, follow standardized recipes, and assure proper portion controlAdhere to sanitation and storage policy and procedurePerform other duties assigned by the managerRequirements:Prior culinary experienceAbility to cook a variety of foods in large quantitiesAbility to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageAbility to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionAbility to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general publicKnowledge of dining service procedures as well as related laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to hospital and nursing home operationsLeadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnelAbility to maintain care and use of supplies, equipment, and the appearance of work areasAbility to perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned dutiesPatience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, with the willingness to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioningBenefits:Competitive and Weekly PayHoliday Pay for Hourly and Salaried EmployeesOvertime Pay for Hourly EmployeesCareer Advancement OpportunitiesExclusive Employer Discount ProgramEmployer Paid Life Insurance401(k) with Employer MatchVacation and Personal TimeHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceWe are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
