AssemblerMansfield, TXAt Maxcess / Valley Roller in Mansfield, TX the Assembler is responsible for the roll Disassembly/Assembly elements of the manufacturing process. In this position, the employee in charge of ensuring that each roll is carefully disassembled & reassembled to meet the customer's specifications.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesReading and interpreting production schedules, job router cards, blueprints, non-conformance reports, and any other materials that summarize requirements for the Bearing Assembly / Disassembly processResponsible for documentation of all Disassembly & Assembly OperationsResponsible for locating and retrieving rolls to the Assembly / Disassembly area utilizing overhead cranes and various material handling equipmentResponsible for ensuring Futura Rolls are carefully disassembled and reassembled with the entire customer specified parts per OEM specificationsResponsible for creating a parts list for each job, to ensure parts are available at the time of reassemblyResponsible for visually inspecting all parts and documenting abnormalitiesAbility to make a sketch of the general assembly to assist in re-assembly of the roll, including a list of all partsCreate an incoming inspection report for customer service to address with the customer to ensure all required parts are ordered and arrive prior to final assemblyComplete incoming inspection form that records all of the specific details regarding incoming journal inspections, bearing and parts inspectionUse overhead crane, slings and straps safely per training to lift, shift or move rollsQualificationsLanguage SkillsRead, Write, and understand EnglishRead mechanical blueprints and interpret technical documentsWrite legible documentation conforming to prescribed style and formatCommunicate effectivelyMathematical SkillsUtilize all inspection and measurement equipment per procedure and instruction, including Durometer gauges, Micrometers, Vernier diameter tapes, Dial indicators, Profilometers, temperature-indicating devices, and others as neededUnderstands/applies basic math, including accurate addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionOther SkillsLearn and utilize safe operating proceduresStrong reasoning abilityPhysical DemandsStand, bend, and stooping for extended periods of timeReaches by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any directionAbility to exert up to 50 pounds of force, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequentlyRequired ability to use finger and hand dexterity to manipulate objectsVision ability within normal parametersHearing within normal rangeCoordination to step over and maneuver around obstaclesDemonstrates safe operating habitsEducation and Experience RequirementsHigh school diploma, GED, or high school equivalencyMaxcess is an equal employment opportunity employer.
