Senior Director, Media PlanningLocation: New York City (Hybrid – 2 days/week in office)Compensation: $170,000 – $190,000 baseOverviewWe are seeking a Senior Director of Media Planning to establish and lead a high-performing media planning function within a growing U.S. team. This is a rare opportunity to be the first dedicated media planning leader in the region, supported by a global network, and play a defining role in shaping the agency’s U.S. media strategy and capability.This role requires a hands-on, strategic leader who is equally comfortable operating at the execution level and driving senior-level strategy. You will own end-to-end media planning while influencing both clients and internal stakeholders to deliver measurable business outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead cross-channel media planning across Paid Social, Paid Search, Programmatic, and CTVBuild integrated media strategies and channel plans aligned to client business objectivesManage and optimize $10M–$30M in digital media investment, with accountability for performance and ROIServe as the senior media lead on client accounts, presenting strategic recommendations, performance insights, and optimization plansMaintain a balanced player-coach role, remaining hands-on in platforms while guiding broader strategyPartner with internal teams and global stakeholders to establish and scale the U.S. media planning functionOversee delegation of activation and buying responsibilities while retaining ownership of strategy and outcomesLead performance analysis, reporting, and narrative development to translate data into actionable insightsContribute to new business efforts, including pitch strategy and media planning recommendationsWhat You’ll Bring8–12+ years of experience in media planning and strategy within a digital or integrated agency environmentDeep expertise across Paid Social, Paid Search, Programmatic, and CTVProven experience managing large-scale media budgets ($10M+), with strong accountability for performance outcomesStrong client-facing experience with excellent presentation and storytelling skillsHands-on experience working within platforms while also driving strategic planning (“player-coach” capability)Background in performance-driven or independent agency environments (e.g., PMG, Jellyfish, or similar) preferredExperience across DTC/eCommerce, CPG, Financial Services, or Retail industries strongly preferredEntrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build, scale, and evolve a function from the ground upWhy This RoleOpportunity to build and lead the U.S. media planning function with global supportHigh-visibility leadership role with direct impact on agency growth and client successWork on large-scale, performance-driven accounts with meaningful business impactJoin a fast-growing team with strong momentum and recent new business winsCompetitive compensation and clear pathway for continued leadership growth
