Summary For a complete understanding of this opportunity, and what will be required to be a successful applicant, read on.We are representing a well-regarded architecture firm seeking a talented Project Architect with 3+ years of experience working on complex commercial and Division of State Architect (DSA) regulated projects.This role is a strong fit for an emerging design professional who is ready to take on meaningful project responsibility in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings a solid technical foundation, an eye for detail, and a working understanding of DSA submittal and compliance requirements.Projects typically include K–12 school new construction and modernization, community college facilities, commercial office, and other complex design and publicly regulated building programs.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Design & DocumentationDevelop and manage construction documents, design drawings, and technical specificationsCoordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors throughout design and construction phasesSupport design development from schematic design through construction administrationEnsure drawings meet DSA requirements, building codes, and project-specific standardsDSA & Regulatory CompliancePrepare and manage DSA submittal packages including plan check coordination and response to commentsMaintain compliance with Title 24, CBC, ADA, and all applicable DSA regulationsCoordinate with IOR and DSA field engineers during construction administration as neededTrack and respond to RFIs, ASIs, and submittal reviews in a timely mannerClient & Team CollaborationSupport Project Managers and Principals in client meetings and design presentationsCoordinate internally across design disciplines to ensure cohesive and constructible documentationCommunicate clearly with contractors, consultants, and public agency representativesProject Experience RequiredDSA-Regulated K–12 School & Community College ProjectsComplex Commercial & Institutional BuildingsConstruction Administration on Publicly Funded ProjectsTitle 24, CBC, and ADA ComplianceProjects ranging from $5M – $50M+Qualifications3+ years of experience in a professional architecture firm with commercial and/or DSA project exposureProficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative xmcpwfu SuiteWorking knowledge of DSA submittal processes, Title 24, CBC, and ADA requirementsExperience with construction administration including RFIs, submittals, and ASIs preferredFamiliarity with Bluebeam and project management platforms a plusStrong graphic, written, and verbal communication skillsBachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture requiredARE candidacy or licensure in progress preferredCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary based on experiencePerformance-based bonus opportunitiesMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer matchARE exam support and reimbursementPaid holidays and PTOMentorship and clear path toward licensure and career advancement
