School Occupational Therapist | Clinton Township, Michigan

A part-time occupational therapist (OT) is needed for the 2026/2027 school year in a school setting located in Clinton Township, MI. This role offers approximately 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling between 9am and 3pm to accommodate the needs of both the therapist and students. The caseload includes about 25 students spread across three buildings, presenting a diverse and rewarding clinical experience.Key responsibilities include providing occupational therapy services primarily focused on fine motor and sensory needs. Students receive therapy sessions ranging from 15 to 30 minutes, 1 to 4 times per month, tailored to their individual goals. The caseload distribution is approximately 5 students at an early education building, 4 students at a kindergarten-1st grade building, 10 students at grades 2-6, and 1 student at the high school level.Additional duties involve conducting assessments, writing reports, documenting direct minutes, and actively participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to ensure comprehensive care and progress tracking for all students.Qualifications or desired experience include:Valid Occupational Therapy license and credentialsExperience working with pediatric populations in educational settingsStrong knowledge of fine motor and sensory integration techniquesAbility to manage multiple caseloads across different age groups effectivelyExcellent communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
