Human Resource Business Partner
DescriptionSummary of Description:The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for; administering human resources practices as they pertain to assigned Business Units, business development with current clients, strengthening current client relations, and maintaining employee relations with personnel for each assigned Business Unit.DutiesUnder the guidance of the Manager of Human Resources, interprets human resources policies, practices, and work rules for assigned Business Units, supervisors, and applicants; assists assigned employees with human resources programs and processes.Plays a key HR role for the leadership team and facilitates effective team building of their assigned Business Units. Coaches’ leadership on value added HR programs including leadership, conflict management, expectation setting, communication, and feedback.Regularly visit with key stakeholders and employees of assigned Business Unit to maintain and enhance relations with the ReCon HR Department.Prepares rate sheets and proposal for client review and approval.Attend employee safety meetings to create ReCon culture with employee and educate assigned employees on human resources specific information/topics.Meet with recruiters regularly to discuss staffing needs. Meet regularly with Onboarding/HRIS team to discuss needs, process changes and work collaboratively to streamline the onboarding process, address employee changes and discuss topics related to employee needs.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, talent management, and employment law.Manage assigned personnel including counseling, corrective action, evaluations, recommendations, and implementation of increases.Work with clients and managers on performance improvement plans and troubleshoot various issues.Initiate relationships with prospective hiring managers at existing clients and connecting with key stakeholders to drive new business.Acts as a Partner, aligning business strategy with HR services and solutions. Works closely with assigned Business Units to provide the HR/people perspective to business changes; evaluates and contributes the people perspective to business cases, ensuring impacts are addressed and resolved to ensure successful implementation and compliance.Plan and prioritize site visit activities based on criticality.Work with each Business Unit management team on personnel needs and obtain job description/requirements and effectively hand off that information to the Recruiting team.Facilitate the connection between potential clients and key stakeholders to drive new business to the organization. Work with client on personnel issues and responsible for corrective action.Assist in interviewing, onboarding, and implementation of the new hire experience.Assist in termination of employees including paperwork and benefits transition.Assists with coordinating travel and training requirements as needed for assigned Business Unlit. Work with assigned client and accounting to assure POs are in place.Coordinate first day instructions and reporting requirementsCoordinate with Human Resources Compliance Specialist on employee leave of absence and return to work compliance. Communicate with assigned Business Unit Manager as needed. Responsible for increasing the number of hiring contacts in database.Interface with internal teams to ensure all lines of business within ReCon are effectively represented to our customer base.Update and maintain Client information.Performs other duties as assigned.Education And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred with at least five (5) years of experience in a human resources function; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.License RequirementsValid Driver’s License as per State law or requirementSHRM-CP preferredTravel RequirementsTravel as required, up to 50%, mostly localMust have reliable transportation which affords timely travel to client sites within assigned territorySpecific SkillsWorks independently with little direction or guidance;Monitoring and evaluating employees;Prioritizing and assigning work;Speaking in public;Using computers and related software applications;Communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the public, etc., sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.Interpreting and applying policies and procedures;Advising employees on human resources programs, plans, and processes;Preparing written reports;Maintaining and updating records;Maintaining confidentiality;Analyzing and researching data.Physical RequirementsAbility to walk up to one mile on industrial plant and construction sites outdoors at any time of the year.Ability to work in protective clothing which may elevate body temperatures by several degrees Fahrenheit for periods of up to 15 minutes without a break.Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted.Ability to hear safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection.Ability to sit at desk and operate computer for extended periods of time.Ability to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear.Ability to see with visual acuity and distinguish between colors.Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.Ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required.
