Mooring Engineer

InterMoor is looking to add a Mooring Engineer to the team. The Mooring Engineer is responsible for safely executing assigned projects, monitoring project resources and timeframes, and providing technical knowledge and experience. The Engineer is highly organized, principled, and is an important voice in the success of the Company. This position works closely and collaboratively with the engineering team, operations team, fabrication team, managers, and staff in meeting the mission and strategic goals of the Company. This position is based in Houston, TX, participates in engineering activities initiated from InterMoor's primary office locations: Houston, TX, Morgan City, LA, and Fourchon, LA, and may require travel from time to time. Duties Design mooring systems and perform frequency and time-domain mooring analyses to confirm that the designs satisfy regulatory and project specific design requirementsEvaluate concepts for offshore operations, weighing technical feasibility and efficiency against QHSE risksDevelop procedures for mobilization, demobilization, and execution of offshore operationsPerform rigging design calculations and generate equipment lists for offshore operationsInterface with clients, vessel owners, and third parties as neededAttend site visits and offshore mooring operations as neededEnsure open and effective communication between other engineers, project/line managers, internal groups, and other project stakeholdersContribute to technical discussions on concept evaluations, methodology, design, and offshore executionEnsure compliance with applicable regulations, recommended practices, and guidelinesEnsure the highest quality of goods, deliverables, and offshore performanceTrack project progress, understand project milestones and deadlines, and communicate status to ensure timely fulfillment of project requirementsProvide advice, guidance, and expertise to other engineers within the Company Required Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or equivalent0-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in marine/O&G industryFamiliar with offshore and/or marine industry terminology, concepts, and practicesAbility to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, with strong attention to detailStrong technical, written, and verbal communication skillsStrong planning, organizational, and time management skills
