Quality Inspector

Mayflower’s R&D focus includes GPS/INS systems, adaptive space-time antenna control techniques, data link receivers, attitude determination and control systems, and wireless communication systems. This position requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance. Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the Quality Inspector will be to inspect and approve incoming materials, in-process product, and finished product by confirming specifications, conducting visual and dimensional checks, rejecting nonconforming materials, and confirming re-work as necessary. Additional tasks will include: Inspect assemblies and prepare GR&R, Cpk, and FAI reports as directed Document inspection results in PLM System Communicate conformity concerns to production and/or quality supervisor Assist with rework as necessary Participate in MRB activities Participate in Risk Analysis/Mitigation activities Deliver monthly status reports / metrics Other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements / Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 5 years’ experience (or 10 years’ experience in lieu of degree) in Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection in a manufacturing environment (DoD or Aerospace preferred) IPC-J-STD Certification Ability to read and understand Mechanical /Assembly Drawings Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) certification a plus Experience working in an ISO9001 / AS9100 0r ISO 13485 environment Effective problem solving Analytical skills including the ability to collect, organize, visualize, and assimilate data Familiarity with Root Cause and proposing Corrective Action / Risk Mitigation Attention to detail regarding quality records, audit preparation, and document packages Proactive, self-driven, and results seeking US Citizenship required.
