Cost Accountant

DescriptionAre you an experienced Cost Accountant seeking your next opportunity with the potential to go permanent? Our client is a leading organization in Concord, CA looking to recruit a detail-oriented and driven Cost Accountant for a temp-to-hire position.+ Prepare and analyze cost records and reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles.+ Track, monitor, and analyze manufacturing costs, overhead allocation, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.+ Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close activities.+ Perform cost control and waste reduction analyses to drive process improvements.+ Partner with operations, finance, and leadership to deliver actionable financial insights.+ Assist with audits and implement internal controls to safeguard assets.Requirements+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.+ 2+ years' experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.+ Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft D365).+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with PowerBI or data visualization tools a plus.+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
