You will build a highly secure mobile backbone that delivers our mission to the world. If you thrive in tackling inherent performance and security challenges in high-stakes mobile development, we've reserved a place for you.In this role, you will: Technical ownership and core deliveryDrive the end-to-end development, testing, and deployment of high-quality native applications for iOS (Swift) and AndroidMaintain application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure broad compatibility across devices and OS versions Secure mobile developmentArchitect and implement features focused on security and privacy, utilizing native mobile security frameworksImplement secure data handling and storage, including the use of Secure Enclaves (or equivalent technologies)Apply basic cryptography principles for data protection and secure communication within the mobile environmentIntegrate VIA's backend microservices and secure APIs into the mobile application logic Collaboration, strategy & best practicesServe as a subject matter expert and provide technical leadership in mobile application development, ensuring VIA's solutions meet the highest standardsClearly articulate complex software designs, architectural choices, and technical processes to diverse audiences, including technical peers and non-technical stakeholdersCollaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (UI/UX designers and backend developers) to ensure seamless, performant, and reliable application functionalityParticipate in defining and upholding mobile development best practices, code reviews, and automated testingRequirementsWhat you will bring to this role:Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience5+ years of professional experience developing and shipping native mobile applicationsProven proficiency with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) and both native iOS development (Swift) and native Android developmentDirect experience with native mobile security features, including Secure Enclaves (or equivalent secure storage mechanisms)Working knowledge of basic cryptography principles and their application in mobile securityStrong experience integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data streamsSolid understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, architectural patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVI, etc.), and performance optimizationExperience with digital wallets, biometric authentication (Face ID/Touch ID), or equivalent credential management systems is a significant plusFamiliarity with CI/CD processes for mobile application deployment (e.g., Fastlane, Jenkins, or similar)Proficiency in TypeScript for building and maintaining robust mobile applicationsWhat does it take to be a successful VIAneer?
