Hiring: Software Test Engineer – Life SciencesLocation: San Diego, CA – OnsiteJob Type: ContractWe are looking for a Software Test Engineer with strong experience in instrument/embedded systems testing and a background in the Life Sciences domain.Experience working with laboratory instruments, medical devices, diagnostic equipment, or industrial equipment is highly relevant for this role.Key Requirements• Experience with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) platforms or similar technologies• Experience testing instrument/embedded systems software• Ability to work onsite in the lab 5 days a week• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Groovy, or Python• Strong Linux shell scripting experience• Experience with test automation frameworks, particularly Playwright + TypeScript• Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript• Experience with API testing and RESTful APIs• Experience with Git and version control• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins• Strong test case design and test data management experience• Experience with test management tools such as Jama or HP ALM• Experience creating/managing Requirements, Specifications, Test Cases, RTM, and Test Summary Reports• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills• Experience working in Agile environments• Strong communication and collaboration skillsIdeal BackgroundCandidates with experience in Life Sciences, laboratory instrumentation, medical devices, diagnostics, NGS platforms, or other instrument-based environments are encouraged to apply.If you are interested or know someone who would be a strong fit, please DM me or share your updated resume.Email: ekta@arkhyatech.com
