(Dizenhaus, Azevedo, and Associates)About the RoleThe Staff Accountant will support day-to-day client accounting, bookkeeping, and tax preparation. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to grow within a client-focused accounting firm.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain accurate bookkeeping records for clientsAssist with individual and business tax preparationPerform bank, credit card, and account reconciliationsRecord journal entries and maintain general ledger activityPrepare monthly and quarterly financial reportsSupport sales tax, payroll, and year-end accounting projectsCommunicate with clients to request documents and answer basic accounting questionsAssist senior accountants and partners with tax planning and advisory projectsHelp ensure deadlines are met during tax season and throughout the yearQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or tax experience preferredExperience with QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting softwareStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple clients and deadlinesClear written and verbal communication skillsInterest in tax, bookkeeping, business accounting, and client advisory workCPA track or EA interest is a plus, but not requiredWhat We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys working with clients, and wants to be part of a firm that values personalized service.
