Technical Writer
In this role you will collaborate with subject matter experts to define and deliver high-quality technical documentation, translating complex engineering and product information into clear, accurate content. You will analyze technical data, support design and validation activities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, while ensuring all documentation meets regulatory, quality, and organizational standardsJob Responsibilities:Collaborates closely with subject matter specialists to comprehensively define project deliverables, leveraging in-depth analysis of technical data to strategize the most effective approach for technical writing, working under general supervision.Identifies key insights and patterns from complex and sometimes conflicting technical data, applying theoretical knowledge and practical experience to devise innovative solutions for unique challenges.Contributes to the drafting of improvement initiatives within established frameworks, introducing new process activities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the team or department.Produces crafted technical documentation of the highest caliber, ensuring accuracy, coherence, and strict adherence to organizational standards and industry best practices.Conducts comprehensive reviews and evaluations of technical documents, scrutinizing for consistency, completeness, and alignment with established guidelines and protocols.Implements feedback and incorporates revisions into documentation processes, continuously refining content to optimize clarity, usability, and overall quality.Provides expert support and guidance to cross-functional teams, leveraging technical writing proficiency to facilitate collaboration and streamline project workflows.Troubleshoots and swiftly resolves any documentation-related issues or discrepancies, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and deliverables.Maintains documentation repositories and robust version control systems, ensuring the accessibility, integrity, and systematic organization of critical documents and resources.Performs thorough analysis of engineering requirements, demonstrating advanced judgment and autonomy in determining optimal design solutions for medical device components, working under general supervision.Creates and implements comprehensive test plans, procedures, and protocols to validate engineering designs, ensuring compliance with established processes and standards.Ensures accurate and complete documentation of design specifications, test results, and validation procedures, adhering to regulatory standards and supervising the documentation efforts of junior team members.Conducts the implementation of design improvements based on testing and evaluation activities, driving innovation initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.Demonstrates expertise in troubleshooting technical issues across hardware, software or other technical components, identifying and resolving complex challenges to minimize production downtime, while mentoring junior team members in problem-solving techniques.Participates in design reviews and technical discussions, providing insights and recommendations based on extensive engineering expertise, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Complies with company policies, procedures, and quality standards, offering guidance, mentorship, and training to junior team members to ensure consistent compliance and excellence in execution.Evaluates components and technologies from external vendors and suppliers for potential integration into medical devices, orchestrating strategic partnerships to propel innovation and mutual success.Monitors the performance and reliability of components and systems, proactively identifying areas for improvement and leading initiatives to optimize product performance and reliability.Builds effective relationships, share knowledge, and influence projects and peer groups, demonstrating a thorough understanding of engineering specialization within the medical devices sector.Requirements:Minimum required Education: Bachelor's Degree in English, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering OR Vocational Education in Technical Writing or equivalent.Minimum required Experience: No prior experience required with Bachelor's Degree OR minimum 4 years of experience with Vocational Education in areas such as Technical Writing or equivalent.Preferred Skills:Regulatory RequirementsQuality Assurance (QA)Technical WritingEditing TechniquesContent Management Systems (CMS)Text Extraction & Localization ToolsMarkup LanguagesData Analysis & InterpretationContinuous ImprovementRoot Cause Analysis (RCA)Feasibility AnalysisReport WritingMicrosoft OfficeDocumentation & ReportingProduct Development Lifecycle ManagementVerification TestingValidation TestingTechnical DocumentationResearch & AnalysisTechnical AcumenProduct DesignQuality SpecificationsTroubleshootingRequirements AnalysisHardware EngineeringBusiness AcumenHow We Work TogetherWe believe that we are better together than apart.
