This role focuses on site civil engineering, land development, grading, drainage, utility design, and public/private infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical experience, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to manage projects from planning through construction support.Our team works on a wide range of commercial, industrial, public agency, and infrastructure projects throughout California and other states. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in the growth of our civil engineering department.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and manage site civil engineering design documents including:Grading plansDrainage and stormwater systemsUtility plansErosion control and BMP plansWQMP/LID documentationPerform hydrology and hydraulic calculations and analysisCoordinate with architects, structural engineers, utility agencies, and public agenciesPrepare technical reports, construction documents, specifications, and permit submittalsReview plans for code compliance and constructabilityAttend meetings with clients, municipalities, and project teamsProvide construction administration and respond to RFIs/submittals as neededQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil EngineeringCalifornia Professional Engineer (PE) license required7+ years of experience in site civil engineering / land developmentStrong experience with grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater designExperience with public agency and municipal projects preferredProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D requiredExperience preparing WQMP/LID reports preferredKnowledge of Southern California agency standards and permitting processesStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamPreferred ExperiencePublic works or transportation-related projectsPipeline and utility infrastructure designHydrology and hydraulic modelingCaltrans or municipal project experienceConstruction support and plan review experienceAbout ArtinArtin is a WBE/DBE/SBE engineering consulting firm specializing in structural and civil engineering services for commercial, industrial, public, and infrastructure projects.
