SUPERINTENDENT — ABOUT THE POSITION
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 7 years experience in the excavation trade.
Knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment for excavation and construction of highways, roads, infrastructure, concrete foundations, etc.
Reliable, responsible, and dependable.
Willing to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction.
Able to accept criticism and handle high-stress situations calmly.
Pleasant demeanor and cooperative attitude.
Strong organizational skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read and evaluate construction schedules.
Foresee and resolve schedule and personnel conflicts.
Implement cost-effective solutions.
Motivate, develop, and direct personnel.
Identify the best people for tasks.
Coordinate, supervise, and manage personnel and equipment.
Complete daily project activity reports.
Schedule, monitor, and control material deliveries.
Communicate relevant information to supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates.
Oversee and manage project budgets.
Develop and maintain constructive working relationships.
