About Daniel’s PlaceFounded in 2018, Daniel’s Place is a nonprofit organization in North Manchester, Indiana, focused on providing respite care across the lifespan of persons with physical and intellectual disabilities of any age. Daniel’s Place provides quality care for people with disabilities; providing respite for their caregivers, and enhancing the quality of life for the entire family. Daniel’s Place offers an interactive, stimulating and safe environment that addresses the physical, emotional, and social needs of each individual. Daniel’s Place is steadily growing and has plans for expansion over the coming years to provide care to more northern Indiana individuals and their families. Open Role: Executive Director Daniel’s Place Board of Advisors is looking to hire Full Time, Executive Director (ED). The ED will have a passion for respite care, a relentless commitment to meaningful guest & family experience, a desire to help the organization grow and a spirit of service. The ED will report to the Board of Directors and will be assigned a mentor. The primary responsibilities and background requirements of the ED are outlined below. Role & Responsibilities: Fundraising & Community Relations Plan and execute three major fundraising events each year (Winter Gala, Kentucky Derby Party, Golf Tournament) and meet goals for fundraising Grant Writing, Management & Reporting Identify and establish new funding sources Build partnerships with stakeholders, corporations, donors, and community members, and advocate for the Daniel’s Place mission With assistance from a marketing director, execute email marketing campaigns, donor communications, social media and live public events Administrative & HR Duties Financial Management - budgeting, financial planning, fundraising strategies, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations in collaboration with the Board of Directors Staff Management - Hiring, training, and supervising staff, as well as fostering a positive organizational culture and ensuring compliance with employment laws Board Engagement - The executive director answers to the board of directors, and is responsible for maintaining communication and collaboration between the operations and leadership groups of a nonprofit. The executive director provides regular updates and seeks input on key decisions and prepares for monthly BOD and Committee meetings Qualifications:The ED will be thoroughly committed to the mission of Daniel’s Place. All candidates should have proven leadership, fundraising, and non-profit management experience. Specific requirements include: Proven execution of fundraising events, meeting fundraising goals and creating and implementing fundraising strategies Unwavering commitment to quality guest service delivery Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, manage, and develop teams, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget Past success working with a Board of Directors with the ability to cultivate existing board member relationships Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed Location & Working Conditions: This job is located in North Manchester, Indiana and the candidate must be a resident of northern Indiana. This role is hybrid work from home/work from location in downtown North Manchester. This role requires evening and weekend availability.
