SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Technical Editor for an onsite opportunity in Columbia, SC. (or Dallas, TX, or State College, PA). The Candidate will lead the development and refinement of high-quality written materials that support proposal efforts and organizational initiatives. This role will ensure all documentation is clear, compliant, and aligned with both internal standards and customer expectations.Required Qualifications of the Technical Editor :Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology, English, Journalism, or a related field; OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience5 years of experience in technical writing, editing, or documentation standards developmentAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPointExperience using tools such as Visible Thread, SharePoint, and Beyond Compare ProStrong knowledge of grammar, editing best practices, and document quality standardsProven ability to interpret and apply style guides and compliance requirementsExperience supporting proposal responses (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs) in a corporate or government environmentExcellent collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teamsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesPreferred Skills/Experience of the Technical Editor :Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, Project, and VisioExperience managing content within SharePoint or similar platformsFamiliarity with branding standards and structured document formattingResponsibilities of the Technical Editor:Edit and enhance proposal content, including resumes, past performance, and technical documentationEnsure all materials meet internal standards, compliance requirements, and customer expectationsIdentify content gaps and provide recommendations to improve clarity, quality, and competitivenessCollaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to gather and refine informationMaintain and update documentation within SharePoint, ensuring accuracy and version controlFormat and standardize documents to align with organizational branding and style guidelinesWork Location: Onsite in either Columbia, SC OR Dallas, TX, or State College, PACompensation / Benefits:Full-Time Employment with SYSTEMTEC means competitive compensation, access to health, dental, disability, and life coverage, and 401(k) with match.Please note: We are not currently able to hire candidates who reside or work in California, New York, or New Jersey.
