Production Associate

Position Overview: Safely operates machines or tools performing one or more repetitive assembly duties in manufacturing operations to mass produce parts-in-process or finished product. Essential Job Functions: · Operate drill presses, saws, lathe, Bridgeport’s, mill machines and hand tools · Responsible for inspecting, assembling, packaging of parts and products · Responsible for monitoring inventory levels and notifying supervisors of needs · Verifies all safety features are in place prior to starting any job · Selects stock for current job process according to specifications · Responsible for tool changeovers and set-ups · Maintain consistent production levels with conformance to job specifications · Pulls damaged or ineffective product or equipment and brings to supervisors attention · General housekeeping of work area · Assist shipping and receiving as needed · Assist with grounds maintenance as needed · Work Over Time as required · Other tasks and duties as assigned. Requirements: · Education / Certification o Basic math and reading skills required · Knowledge & Experience o Knowledge of related safety requirements to include proper use of safety equipment and proper safety precautions o Ability to interpret machine gauges o Fluent in English and the ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) · Personal Attributes o Ability & willingness to understand and follow routine oral and written instructions o Good attendance a must · Other Skills / Abilities o Ability to lift up to 75lbs occasionally o Ability to lift up to 20lbs often Pay: From $16.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience: Manufacturing: 2 years (Preferred) Production: 2 years (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Farmington Hills, MI 48335 (Required) Work Location: In person
