Visual Merchandiser (Shift: between 9AM-5PM, some Saturdays)

Job DescriptionAssists in the planning, developing, establishing, and maintaining all retail, food, and services Displays signing and merchandise presentation programs at an Exchange installation. Creates a positive environment that drives sales growth and increases customer experience and Exchange brand loyalty. Additional Qualifications/RequirementsTHIS POSITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR EXECUTING VISUAL MERCHANDISING STANDARDS AT ALL RETAIL, FOOD, AND SERVICES,TO ENHANCE THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE, DRIVE SALES, AND ENSURE BRAND AND OPERATIONAL COMPLIANCE. THIS POSITION SUPPORTS STORE LEADERSHIP BY MAINTAINING MERCHANDISING INTEGRITY, SIGNAGE, ACCURACY, AND FIXTURE PRESENTATION IN ALIGNMENT WITH COMPANY GUIDELINES. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK MON-FRI, BETWEEN 0900-1700, AND SOME SATURDAYS FOR THE POSITION. COMPLETION OF HIGH SCHOOL OR THE EQUIVALENT. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING IN THE DESIGN/DRAWING/ASSEMBLING SALES PROMOTION/MERCHANDISE DISPLAYS. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE WITH ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE SOFTWARE. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE WITH MICROSOFT OFFICE. WILL TRAVEL TO OUR FACILITIES AT FORT PICKETT (BLACKSTONE, VA) AND JAG (AT THE JAG SCHOOL AT UVA IN CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA).MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS' LICENSE. Job QualificationsCompletion of high school or the equivalent. Experience or training in designing, drawing, and assembling sales promotion merchandise displays, knowledge of computer creative software is preferred. Must have valid motor vehicle operator's license. If a sufficient number of qualified candidates do not apply, the minimum qualifications may be lowered without reposting. Major DutiesProvides high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service. Greets each customer upon contact, assesses their needs, suggests alternative options, and provides solution resolution. Keeps their needs foremost and creates a welcoming environment, actively engages, and builds trust relationship with the customer in order to deliver a personalized shopping experience. Provides superior skills to serve the customer, utilizes and adheres to merchandise presentation standards to enhance sales growth by ensuring merchandise is displayed on proper fixtures, develops, assembles, and installs displays using appropriate tools and equipment. Ensures standard signs for the Exchange is maintained and displayed. Maintains supply of retail, food, and services signs and replaces timely and accordingly. Assures compliance with fire, safety, sanitation, and security regulations, as well as ensuring the security of fixed assets, cash, and inventory. Practices loss prevention procedures and alerts security and management of potential problems that may involve fraud, waste, and abuse. Performs other duties as assigned.
