Details Emergency Department (ED) setting at a large academic teaching hospital 12-hour rotating day/night shifts Schedule requires a minimum of every other weekend, with flexibility to meet unit and patient care needs Block schedules are not available for any reason Monday through Sunday scheduling coverage Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active RN license — Vermont or Compact license accepted; NY license accepted with proof of pending licensure Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NIHSS, and TNCC — TNCC documentation or proof of scheduled class required prior to start; NIHSS must be completed prior to start Preferred certifications/training: CEN, ENPC, MOAB, ProAct, or other de-escalation training (e.g., CPS) Minimum 2 years of ED experience required Large (500 bed) academic teaching facility experience required Prior travel nursing experience required — may be waived for candidates with experience in multiple ERs at large (500 bed) teaching facilities Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required — at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment SSN and DOB required for consideration Reliable personal transportation is required — public transportation is not accessible in this area Additional Information This is a 32-week travel assignment Candidates living within 50 miles (straight-line distance) of the facility are considered local and eligible at the local pay rate; candidates residing 51–100 miles away are eligible for the travel pay rate Bi-weekly orientations begin on Mondays All employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained in the candidate profile Complete work history including bed count, EMR used, and facility type is required for consideration Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires between November and April First-time travelers will not be considered unless they have multi-site, large teaching hospital ED experience American Traveler Job ID P-687338.
