Cultivation
The Seed and Smith Grow Technician position is responsible for working with the Cultivation team to provide products that meets the quantity and quality standards set by ownership and upper management. The Grow Technician position is expected to work well with management and other production members, and other company employees to keep Seed and Smith and all associated companies a competitive leader, in the MMJ and RMJ industry.

Reports To: Director & Asst. Director of Cultivation
Required Availability: Sunday - Thursday (7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
OR
Tuesday - Saturday (7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
Position Duties & Responsibilities (included but not limited to):
Provide 40+ hours of quality work per week and work all scheduled shifts. This work will primarily take place at your regular facility, unless additional help is required at another facility
Maintain health of all plants at the facility in respect to manager’s requests
Maintain warehouse compliance with all applicable laws and rules based on managers requests
Maintain warehouse cleanliness (Veg room, bloom rooms, prep room, trim room, exterior)
Organization of warehouse (Prep room, trim room, veg room, bloom rooms, dry, cure, etc)
Regularly inspect plants to find all pest issues (insects, mold, etc)
Maintain proper security protocols put in place at the facility
Meetings & communication with Level 2 employees and management
Watering & feeding of all plants (mothers, clones, veg, bloom)
Maintenance & pruning of mothers to proper size for production
Creation of new mothers
Labeling (mothers, clones, veg, bloom, dry, cure)
Taking clones to meet production batch size and variety requirements
Carry out pest management plan
Quarantine of new genetics
Veg pruning & topping
Netting & Trellis
CO2 operation and controls
Bloom pruning
Grinding and proper disposal of plant waste
Temp & humidity monitoring
Cleaning trays, water lines, hoods, and room for reset
Reset new plants
Maintenance of warehouse equipment (Fans, Hoods, Ballasts, Pumps, Manifolds, Filters, HVAC, Heaters, Meters, etc)
Competencies & Qualifications:
This role requires strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to work in a trial-and-error environment.
Interpersonal skills – being able to communicate and work well with others – are a necessity.
Time management and organizational skills are essential while being comfortable adapting to changes in the environment.
Ability to maintain and troubleshoot structures and materials.

Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation range: $19.50/hour - $20.50/hour (depending on experience)
