About the Job:Our client, a well-respected law firm is seeking a motivated attorney to join their growing personal injury team. This role will focus on intake, client engagement, and case development before litigation.This is a full-time, on-site opportunity located in Norfolk, VA for a Pre-Litigation Attorney (Personal Injury).Key ResponsibilitiesMeet with potential clients to review details of personal injury matters.Evaluate records such as medical files, police reports, and witness statements.Assess liability and potential outcomes for new cases.Communicate with insurance representatives and opposing counsel on behalf of clients.Review offers, provide recommendations, and negotiate fair settlements.Work to secure compensation for medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other damages.Draft demand letters and settlement correspondence.Compile and maintain evidence and case files.Calculate damages and prepare accurate financial documentation.Serve as the main point of contact during the intake and pre-litigation process.Clearly explain legal steps, timelines, and expectations to clients.Keep current on personal injury case law and best practices.Develop strategies tailored to each client's situation.Work closely with colleagues, paralegals, medical providers, and expert witnesses.Ensure all case deadlines and legal requirements are met.QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law in Virginia.Knowledge of personal injury law and related procedures.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Ability to balance independent work with collaboration in a team setting.To Apply: Please submit your application through LinkedIn and E-Mail your resume to matilda@coastalmsolutions.com with subject line "Attorney"Coastal Management Solutions, Inc., is an equal opportunity employer.
