Job Description: The Compressor Station Operator is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of natural gas compression equipment. This role monitors, troubleshoots, and maintains compressor station systems to ensure optimal run time and reliability. The position includes oversight and scheduling of preventative maintenance (PMs) and maintenance work with contract compressor mechanics, generator mechanics, and emissions testing groups. Responsibilities: Operations & Monitoring: Operate and monitor natural gas compressors, dehydration units, and associated equipment Adjust operating parameters to maintain optimal pressure, flow, and efficiency Conduct routine inspections and record equipment readings to detect irregularities Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform minor maintenance and assist with repairs on compressors, engines, and auxiliary systems Identify mechanical or process issues and escalate as necessary to maintenance personnel Assist in troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems Work Oversight & Scheduling: Oversee and schedule preventative maintenance (PMs) and maintenance work Coordinate activities with contract compressor mechanics, generator mechanics, and emissions testing groups Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety policies and procedures Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required Daily Reporting: Maintain accurate logs of operating data, maintenance activities, and safety checks Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or operational deviations Utilize digital tools and systems for data entry and reporting Skills and Qualifications: Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience in gas compression, oil & gas operations, or industrial maintenance Gas compression experience required Emissions testing and work oversight experience is a plus Familiarity with rotating equipment, instrumentation, and process controls Education & Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred) Certifications such as OSHA 10/30, H2S Awareness, First Aid/CPR, or DOT Operator Qualification (OQ) are a plus Skills & Competencies: Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to read P&IDs, schematics, and technical manuals Knowledge of HMI systems and control room operations is a plus Good verbal and written communication skills Work Environment & Physical Requirements: Rotating shift work, weekends, and holidays as needed Ability to work in varying weather conditions and remote locations Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs.), climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods Role Details: Location: Tilden, TX Schedule: Schedule: M-F, on call – nights and weekends Pay: $56.23 Pay: $56.23 per hour Work Location: In person
