Creative Arts Coordinator

Position Purpose Develop, organize, and facilitate Brewster Places creative arts program that provide opportunities that encourages exploration for experienced and non-experienced artists and crafters. Key Responsibilities/Duties Develop the creative arts program schedule that will include art classes, sewing/quilting workshops, craft classes and special projects. Plan projects for classes and workshops for participants of all skill levels including gathering needed materials. Facilitate and/or teach classes in a variety of media including but not limited to painting, drawing, quilting, sewing, building, and crafting. Brewster Bazaar: Coordinate promotion of the Bazaar internally and externally. Organize volunteers for the Annual Bazaar and other special projects and events. Curate quarterly gallery exhibitions for the Brewster Events Center Art Gallery. The most significant duties have been included in this description. This does not preclude the assignment of occasional additional or developmental duties. Requirements: Education: High School plus Specialized Training Experience: 1-3 years Certification: N/A Any preferred education/skills/certifications: Organizational and interpersonal skills Creative skills in a variety of media (examples include painting, drawing, sewing, quilting, crafting) Experience teaching art and/or crafts/sewing to a variety of skill levels, preferred.
