Our integrated GLP-1 medication weight management program utilizes state-of-the-art at-home blood collection kits and connected clinical telehealth services to screen, onboard, and manage qualified candidates, ensuring medication adherence and effective management of side effects through continuous telehealth support.About the RoleThe Head of Internal and External Communications will serve as the strategic architect of eMed’s brand voice—both inside and outside the organization. This role combines high-level strategy with hands-on execution to ensure every message reflects our mission to redefine metabolic health through innovation and empathy. Partnering closely with the CEO and executive team, this leader will craft and amplify narratives that position eMed as a thought leader in the GLP-1 and digital health space, while also fostering transparent, inspiring communication across teams. The ideal candidate is a dynamic storyteller, a trusted advisor, and a builder of influence—someone who thrives at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and impact.Who You’ll Work WithReports to and collaborates closely with the Chief Executive Officer.Partners with Marketing, Design, Clinical, and Business Development.You’ll also engage with external partners—including media outlets, public relations agencies, investors, and healthcare industry influencers—to elevate eMed’s profile and amplify its mission.What You’ll DoDevelop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with the company’s mission, vision, and business objectives, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.Position the CEO as a thought leader in the GLP-1 and metabolic health sectors through media engagements, speaking opportunities, and content creation.Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, healthcare professionals, media, and industry influencers.Lead media outreach efforts, including drafting and distributing press releases, securing media placements, and managing press inquiries.Develop and implement crisis communication plans to address potential issues proactively and maintain the company's reputation.Organize and manage press events, product launches, and media briefings to enhance brand visibility.Oversee the creation of compelling content for various platforms, including social media, blogs, and the company website, ensuring alignment with brand voice and messaging.Develop and implement social media strategies to increase engagement, build community, and drive brand awareness.Ensure the company website is up-to-date, user-friendly, and optimized for search engines, reflecting the company's brand and values.Identify and secure speaking opportunities for the CEO and other executives at industry conferences, webinars, and panels.Collaborate with the CEO to develop thought leadership articles, op-eds, and presentations that showcase expertise and innovation in the GLP-1 space.Represent the company at industry events and forums to build credibility and expand the company's network.What You HaveProven track record in media relations, digital communications, and brand development.Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills; proficiency in social media platforms and content management systems.Strategic thinker with the ability to execute; strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment.Proficiency with Salesforce, Google Workspace, and virtual meeting tools.What We Are Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum of 8 years in communications, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the healthcare, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries.Why Join eMedAt eMed, we’re redefining how care is delivered — empowering clients and partners with technology, access, and data.
