Licensed Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Assistant

Job description: Potomac Valley Veterinary Surgical Specialist is looking for a Surgery Technician or Assistant to join our team. We are looking for individuals with experience in anesthesia monitoring and can provide excellent patient care and client communication. LVT is preferred, but will consider an unlicensed technician with experience. Work hours are 10 hour shifts, 4 days a week. We are a surgical practice only, that currently has 3 surgeons who perform soft tissue, orthopedic and limited cardio surgeries. This includes but are not limited to TPLOs, TTAs, extracapsular repairs, fracture repairs, FHOs, routine/emergency abdominal laparotomies, mass removals, amputations, etc. Knowledge of these procedures is preferred but we are willing to train a highly motivated individual.
