Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY The Psychological Services Center (PSC) Director provides leadership and oversight for a low-fee outpatient mental health training clinic that is part of the PsyD program at California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). This role oversees clinic operations, trainee development, clinical training activities, supervision, and collaboration across departments to support high-quality clinical services and training experiences for students and the broader community. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide overall leadership, administration, and vision for the Psychological Services Center (PSC)Oversee practicum, internship, and pre-practicum training programsSupervise clinic manager and support clinic staff operationsDevelop and implement clinical training curriculum, orientation programming, psychodynamic didactics, and case conferencesFacilitate psychodynamic didactic training sessions and case conferencesProvide group supervision to traineesReview intake assessments and assign patients to traineesEnsure trainee clinical charts and documentation comply with state laws and regulationsCollaborate with PsyD faculty, administrators, and staff, including the Director of Clinical TrainingAttend and participate in monthly Clinical Training Committee meetingsAttend monthly clinic director and manager meetings across CIIS outpatient clinicsMeet quarterly with individual supervisorsAttend monthly SPPH Clinic MeetingsCollaborate with the Director of Wellness Center regarding peer supervision initiatives between interns, postdocs, trainees, and practicum studentsRecruit and supervise Debrief Group Facilitators for pre-practicum student cohortsAdminister PSC budget in collaboration with the Budget ManagerCollaborate with institute departments and staff on shared projects and initiativesSupport a multicultural, inclusive, and student-centered clinical training environment Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of ethical, legal, clinical, and training issues relevant to higher education mental health settingsStrong clinical supervision and leadership skillsExperience developing and implementing training programs and curriculumExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and collaboration skills across diverse teams and constituenciesExperience providing culturally responsive and strength-based treatment approachesAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgmentStrong organizational and administrative skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a collegial and flexible environmentComfort with public speaking, facilitation, and leading group discussionsCommitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and multicultural competency ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS Work is primarily performed in a professional office and clinical training environment. Position requires regular collaboration with students, faculty, clinical supervisors, and staff. Duties may involve facilitating meetings, trainings, and group discussions in both individual and team settings. PHYSICAL ABILITIES Requires prolonged sitting and computer use, including keyboarding and virtual meetings. May require standing, walking between campus offices or clinic spaces, and occasional lifting of materials up to 15 pounds. LOCATION Hybrid position based in San Francisco, CA. Regular on-campus presence required to support clinic operations, supervision, meetings, and training activities. Additional Information: WAGES AND BENEFITS $44.97 - $48.66 per hour NOTES TO CANDIDATEWorking Conditions Duties are primarily performed in an office environment at a desk or computer terminal, typically Monday through Friday with some weekends required for classes.Background Check Due to the sensitivity and requirements of this position, you should expect to undergo and be cleared of an employment background/criminal check, if extended an offer for employment.
