Coach - Assistant Boys Volleyball (BMHS-W)
Position Title: Assistant Boys Volleyball Coach
Reports To: Head Boys Basketball Coach / Athletic Director
Position Overview
Bradshaw Mountain High School located in Prescott Valley, Arizona is seeking a dedicated and
enthusiastic Assistant Boys Volleyball Coach to support the development and success of
the boys' volleyball program. The Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Coach to
foster a positive, competitive, and growth-focused environment for student-athletes. This
role involves helping with practice planning, skill development, game-day strategy, team
management, and mentoring players on and off the court.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning and conducting daily practices, drills, and game preparations.
Support the Head Coach to ensure alignment in systems, terminology and program
philosophy.
Provide individual and group instruction to improve player skill and team performance.
Promote academic achievement, sportsmanship, and personal growth among
student-athletes.
Help manage game-day logistics, including setup, warm-ups, and in-game strategy.
Maintain effective communication with players, parents, and staff.
Supervise athletes during practices, games, travel, and other team activities.
Ensure compliance with school and AIA regulations.
Assist with team fundraising, equipment inventory, and community engagement activities.
Qualifications
Previous coaching or playing experience in volleyball (school, club, or higher level).
Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, rules, and strategies.
Certification
Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain prior to season
start).
Background check and IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest
Skills
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to motivate, mentor, and guide student-athletes.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students, parents, and staff.

Experience working with student-athletes in a school or educational setting.
Strong understanding of volleyball fundamentals, rotations, offensive and defensive systems.

Compensation
Stipend-paid at the end of the season.
