We are looking for a Quality Engineer with a good understanding of software development practices to help us create and execute testing approaches for our market-leading products. This individual will create test strategies from concept, design, implementation, testing, documentation, support, and maintenance while assuring that the product line conforms to established requirements and standards. This individual will also be responsible for gathering functional requirements, information and data to proactively drive best practices from a quality perspective into the product while collaborating with R&D and Product Management.Your ImpactServe as an automation thought leaderAbility to create test procedures and objectives (including test environments, installation, upgrades, and configuration) in accordance with the technical specsAbility to create automated scripts for system, integration, performance benchmarking, and scalabilityAbility to maintain and execute test automation: UI, API, backend using PowerShell, Silk Test, Selenium, SpecFlow, Reqnroll, Playwright automation tools, C#, JAVA, Python, Power shellAbility to engage with cross functional team on project updates and reviewing outcomes, and performance analysisGood understanding of different deployment infrastructures, virtualization technologies, Cloud (PAAS/SAAS)Ensure effective bi-directional communications between US, Shanghai, and Mexico City development centersAbility to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environmentEngage with cross functional defect/enhancements reviews & triage meetingsAbility to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environmentKnowledge of Machine Learning- Prescriptive, predictive maintenance and machine learning algorithmsExperience with Agile methodologyWhat You'll NeedBS or MS in a field related to Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or Computer Science5 to 8 years of experience in validating complex software testing projects5 to 8 years of working experience with test automation, performance, databases, and test toolsGood interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (in English)Demonstrated ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise mannerWillingness to learn a range of business or technical specialties based on business needsAspenTech will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
