Join our team and be part of this vital new initiative.The Respite Support Staff provides assistance to recipient's nonclinical needs including providing minimal assistance with ADLs and conferring with recipients care team, providing a safe, supportive and clean environment for recipients in medical respite programPosition ResponsibilitiesProvide general safe, supportive, environment for recipients in medical respite programMonitoring and providing guidance to assist recipient in performing basic activities of daily livingNotify care team and Administrator of any changes or unusual conditions of recipients or of emergenciesMaintain knowledge of general whereabouts of each recipient, recording daily census and daily wellness checksPrepare and serve 3 meals and 2 snacks per dayDaily cleaning of medical respite programLaunder linens of programObserve, monitor and record recipients' conditions, including incident documentationConduct monthly fire drills as assignedAdhere to Mercy Haven and DOH policies, procedures and regulationsAll other relevant duties as assignedPosition RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalencyCurrent or prior registration as a certified nurse assistant, home health aide, or personal care worker; or one year of experience in the provision of services to persons experiencing homelessness or adults residing in a facility subject to licensure and oversight by the Department, OPWDD, OMH, or OASASElectronic Health Record experience preferredRequirements: Sits, stands, stoops, squats, walks, and moves intermittently during work hours, may push or pull 10-15 pounds daily, may push or pull up to 50 pounds occasionallyCPR and First Aide Certification requiredSuccessful completion of annual Physical and PPDPosition RelationshipsReports to: AdministratorSchedule:Sunday-Monday 7am-3pmFriday-Saturday 3pm-11pmWednesday-Thursday (Overnight) 11pm-7amSunday-Tuesday (Overnight) 11pm-7amFriday-Saturday(Overnight) 11pm-7amPay Rate: $18.50 per hourLocation: Bayshore, NYBenefits:Full Benefits Package including Medical, Company-Paid Dental and Vision Single Coverage.
