A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRN - Med Surg/n/nJob Details:/n• Work 4x12 hour night shifts (48 hours per week)/n• Patient ratio 1:7 with team nursing support including 2 PCCs, 2 LPNs, 2 RNs, and medication nurses/n• Minimum 2 years recent medical surgical experience required/n• Level I or Level II trauma experience required/n• Large hospital experience preferred/n• On-call availability as needed/n• Weekend coverage as needed/n• Must be willing to work 2 of 3 holidays if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall during assignment/n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS/n• Skills required: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV start and maintenance, telemetry monitoring/n• Care for adult and geriatric patients with general medical surgical diagnoses/n• Daily census of 46 patients in 48-bed unit/n• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and rapid response teams/n• Cerner charting system experience preferred/n• Active RN license required (compact or state-specific)/n• Must live at least 100 miles from facility/n• At least one completed travel assignment required/n• Driver's license copy required at submission/n• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions/n/nFacility:/nThis major healthcare institution operates as a comprehensive medical center providing advanced trauma care and medical surgical services.
