Warehouse Training Instructor
Position SummaryThe Warehouse Training Instructor is responsible for delivering a structured, short-term training program designed to prepare incoming warehouse employees for immediate success in production operations. This role supports the development and execution of a 1–2week preparatory course focused on forklift certification and foundational Macola system training. The goal is to ensure all participants enter the warehouse fully certified, trained, and ready to contribute from day one.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate a structured Pre-Onboarding Academy program for new warehouse hiresConduct forklift training, including coursework and hands-on practical road testingEvaluate participant performance and determine certification readinessDeliver Macola system training using a "Watch, Try, Do" methodology:Guide trainees through instructional videos and live demonstrationsSupervise hands-on practice and independent execution of transactionsAssess trainee progress and provide additional coaching when neededEnforce program standards, including exiting participants who do not meet required benchmarksPartner with warehouse leadership to define and maintain essential Day 1 Macola transaction requirementsTrack and document training progress, completion, and certification outcomesMaintain a safe and structured training environment aligned with company policiesProvide feedback for continuous improvement of the training programQualificationsPrevious experience in warehouse operations or manufacturing environment requiredStrong knowledge of forklift operations and safety standardsExperience with Macola (or similar ERP systems) preferredPrior training, coaching, or mentoring experience strongly preferredAbility to evaluate skill competency and provide constructive feedbackStrong communication and interpersonal skillsHigh attention to detail and commitment to safety and qualityEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredForklift certification required (or ability to obtain instructor-level certification)3+ years of warehouse or logistics experience preferredWork EnvironmentCombination of classroom-style training and warehouse floor environmentRequires standing, walking, and operating equipment for extended periodsMay involve lifting up to standard warehouse weight requirementsPosition TypeTemporary / Contract (estimated duration based on hiring demand)Approximately 20–40 hours per week (flexible based on training needs)Program ObjectiveThis role directly supports operational efficiency by ensuring new hires are fully prepared before entering the production environment.
