*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated Prep Cook to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Prep Cook will assist in the preparation of various dishes and contribute to the overall efficiency of the kitchen. *Duties* - Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating meats - Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistency - Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate meal preparation - Maintain a clean and organized work area, following food safety guidelines - Support the culinary team in menu planning and meal preparation *Requirements* - Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures - Proficiency in working with kitchen tools such as knives and food processors - Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred - Ability to work well in a team environment and take direction from chefs and supervisors - Familiarity with menu planning and dietary department operations is a plus Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40 per week Benefits: Employee discount Physical Setting: Bar Quick service & fast food restaurant Shift: 10 hour shift 8 hour shift Evening shift Morning shift Experience: Food safety: 1 year (Required) Food service: 1 year (Required) Restaurant experience: 1 year (Required) Ability to Commute: Hermitage, TN 37076 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Hermitage, TN 37076: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
