Civil Construction Site Superintendent

J+M Infrastructure is a Civil-Site & Utilities Contractor, who excels in Civil Construction and Site Development Contracting, with an emphasis on Utilities, and Excavation. We assist with new construction projects by performing demolition, clearing, excavation, asphalt paving, concrete work, water mains, sewer, storm drainage, throughout central and southwest Virginia.We are focused on building a team of dynamic, motivated individuals who are more than just employees but valued and respected players. We are currently seeking a Site Superintendent for projects in central and southwest Virginia.The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring site safety, timely completion of projects, scheduling, and overseeing day to day operations in the field. This candidate must be highly motivated with a strong work ethic, possess a positive can-do attitude, and be willing to get hands dirty and do whatever it takes to get the job done!General RequirementsPrimary Responsibilities:Ensure the safety of team members and project sites at all timesMaintain complete understanding of blueprints/drawings, schedules, project plans, subcontractor responsibilities, and scope of workPlan, schedule and assign daily tasks for site and crewEnsure daily production goals are met by performing walkthroughs to verify daily activitiesManage, order and schedule materials, equipment and subcontractorsMust communicate effectivelyMust be able to run multiple crews on multiple job sites if neededMust be able to lead self-perform crews, subcontractors and job site as a wholeAdditional Requirements:Minimum of 6 years of civil construction experienceMust be a strong and effective leader, who leads by exampleMust possess critical-thinking and problem-solving skillsValid driver's license required, a CDL preferredMust pass drug test/screeningConcrete experience preferredEducation: Minimum High school diploma or equivalent preferredOSHA 30 RequiredBenefits2 Weeks Paid time Off / Vacation7 Paid HolidaysHealth, Dental and Vision InsuranceSafety Shoe AllowanceEmployee Referral Bonus uncapped ($2000 per hired employee)Loyalty Bonus ProgramMeal Per DiemScheduleTypical schedule is Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
