Located in the Northern California foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range at a new, state-of-the-art 65,000 sq. ft. facility, start the next chapter of your career with Crane Aerospace & Electronics.Job SummaryThe Burrer Precision is responsible for the set-up and operation of deburring tools and performs methods of inspecting parts to assure conformance to blueprint specifications and manufacturing operator's instructions.Essential Functions:Set up, tear down, and manipulate rotary and manual hand tools utilizing corresponding documentationInspect parts to blueprint specificationsNotify Team Leader or Supervisor of problems encountered in performing these tasksUnderstand deburring processes in using right tools towards making parts to blueprint specificationsMaintain and adhere to standard safety protocols and PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)Any other task assigned by supervisor or managementNon-Essential Functions:Continuous improvement activities to improve processes in burring cycleMinimum Qualifications:Experience: 0+ years of experience in working with scopes for precision burring of internal holes and cross sectionsKnowledge: Knowledge of rotary and manual burring tools; Knowledge of tooling proficient to allow altering if required; Knowledge of various inspection equipment and methods of inspection; Knowledge of deburring tools for different machinesSkills/Abilities: Ability to read and interpret blueprints; Ability to use alternate tooling or work holding devices if required; Creativity, initiative and the ability to work independentlyEducation/Certification: High School diploma or equivalentEligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information.
