Course dates can be viewed at: https://www.concordialanguagevillages.org/language-training-centerGeneral Work Schedule (days of week):Sunday through SaturdayGeneral shift hours:As needed, but generally 9 hours/day between 7:30 AM and 9 PM. This position also requires 20-40 hours of preparation before each course, compensation for which is included in the gross amount noted in the employment offer.Job Summary:About the Position:The Lead Instructor of a Concordia Language Villages Government/Military program is responsible for the development and implementation of a language-specific, two- and three-week-long residential iso-immersion program in accordance with client-specified expectations.This includes:Planning and implementation the program curriculum,Assisting with staff recruitment and interviewing,Budget/expense tracking,Some public relations, andInteracting with the support staff from operations support areas at the Language Villages.This position is responsible for implementing a program that reflects the mission and immersion methodology of Concordia Language Villages and meets client expectations, all within the parameters of the Concordia military pedagogical model.The lead instructor reports to the Director of External Relations and Strategic Initiatives (who oversees the program), is responsible for managing the instructional team as a cohesive, collaborative team, and interfaces with the CLV administrative team as a whole.About Concordia Language VillagesDeep in the North Woods of Minnesota, USA, Concordia Language Villages creates a place that is both culturally authentic and uniquely our own.
