PowerBI Developer

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to design, develop, and optimize business intelligence solutions that transform data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Power BI, strong data modeling skills, and experience working with large datasets and complex business requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Development:Develop interactive and visually appealing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI.Create and maintain data modelsDAX calculations, and Power Query transformationsData Integration:Connect Power BI to various data sources (SQL Server, Azure, APIs, Excel, etc.).Implement ETL processes and optimize data refresh strategies.Performance Optimization:Ensure reports and dashboards are optimized for performance and scalability.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data accuracy and performance.Collaboration:Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions.Collaborate with data engineers and analysts for seamless data integration.Governance & Security:Implement row-level security, manage workspaces, and follow best practices for data governance.Advanced Analytics:Utilize advanced DAX functions and Power BI features for predictive and trend analysis.Documentation & Training:Document processes, data models, and provide training to end-users.Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Expertise:8–10 years of experience in BI development, with at least 5+ years in Power BI.Strong proficiency in DAXPower Query (M language), and data modelingHands-on experience with SQL and relational databases.Cloud & Integration:Experience with Azure services (Data Factory, Synapse, etc.) is a plus.Analytical Skills:Ability to analyze complex data sets and deliver actionable insights.Soft Skills:Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of Python/R for advanced analytics.Experience with Power BI PremiumPaginated Reports, and Power BI Service administrationFamiliarity with Agile methodologiesAbout UsStratacent is an IT Managed Services firm, headquartered in Jersey City, NJ, with two global delivery centres in New York City area and New Delhi area plus offices in London, Canada and Pune, India.
